If the sales rep at {insert big box co here} had told me they would do this, I would have been surprised, but you can check with Sears, who has their own fleet of repair specialists. I didn't agree to it until I had checked to be 100% sure our warranty wasn't voided by using this maneuver - if for some reason they skip a screw, you want to have options.
